There are several ways to resolve a traffic citation in you are 18 years or older. Requirements for juveniles 17 years or younger can be found below.
- To determine if you may be eligible for a defensive driver course.
- To pay your fine by mail, make checks payable to Town of Unicoi and mail to P.O. Box 39, Unicoi,
- You may also resolve your citation at Unicoi Municipal Court on the date/time printed on the front
of your citation.
Unicoi Municipal Court is held on the first Tuesday every month at 1:30 p.m. at the Town Hall, 3600 Unicoi Dr.
To resolve a traffic citation in person, please visit Town Hall, 3600 Unicoi Dr., Monday - Friday from 8am-5pm. Cash, check, or money orders are accepted unless the ticket is past due, in which case only cash or money order will only be accepted.
Note: If you receive a summons/citation for driving on a suspended, revoked, or cancelled license, you must appear in Unicoi County Sessions Court AND you must be fingerprinted prior to your court date. Instructions for fingerprinting are printed on the back of your citation.
JUVENILE TRAFFIC CITATIONS
A youth and a parent must appear at the Unicoi Municipal Court on the date/time printed on the front of the citation. Some first offenders are eligible to attend a defensive driving class or seat belt safety class upon approval from the Judge. During the court appearance, a request can be made to the Judge to attend a defensive driving or seat belt safety class.
